I guess you have to pay in order to get an answer on here. Too bad.
Anyway, decided to try a new $52 CPS since a factory diagnostic would have run me $87. Had to drop the tranny and engine by removing the transfer case/tranny cross mount, but after that CPS access was no problem. This would have to be done regardless of whether or not one can get the CPS mounting bolt out as the sensor is a tight fit and too long to remove with the engine/tranny in normal position. Fired right up. If in doubt, before doing anything major like replacing the PCM, try the cheap CPS sensor.
