Burning Oil

I recently bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 and in one month it burned through 4 quarts of oil ! Is this normal? It also has a hesitation or a stutter when your accelerating from 0 to 60mph, why would it do that?

This is not right, it should not burn any oil, you need to do a leak down test or a wet and dry comp test to see what is going on.

What is a leak down test? My jeep is burning a little oil, I have replaced the PCV Valve. It does not smoke and I have found no leaks on the ground.
