2003 Jeep Wont stay Running

2003 jeep grand cherokee laredo 91000 miles wont stay running 6-4.0,4x4, it would start but not stay running we replaced the fuel filter was not that spark plugs it still ran but would not drive it lost gas and made a popping sound!! replaced fuel pump the car will start if we are lucky and makes a popping sound before dying out what should we do?? What else could it be?? :cry:

Check the Cam/Crankshaft position sensors and ASD relay
