2003 Jeep Cherokee Defrost mode only

The AC and heater and blower work fine but mode switch will not change from defrost and direct the air
any where else.

sounds like the blend doors arent moving, probably the elctric motor is burned out which is a dealer only part, or the vaccum hose is no longer any good.
