2002 Jeep Cherokee the temperature on the jeep rises

couple days ago the air compressor stopped and it made the temperature go up so i thought it needed freon and i put some but it keeps overheating only when its park and i accelerated from the engine not from the pedal. they told me it might be the throttle the goes on top of the engine.

I'm not sure I understand. The AC compressor or adding freon won't cause the engine to overheat. Have you checked the thermostat, radiator, coolant level...?
