My oil pressure unit on the dash board shows that when I am at idol it reads 3/4 high, and as I accelerate, fast or smooth, it jumps up to max. I have been told that it is probably the oil pressure sending unit. I need to know where it is. I can not find any wiring that looks anything like the unit.

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge,if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump and/or engine bearing.
