2002 Jeep Cherokee cost for repair

The air conditioning isn't working. I've been quoted $1000 for the repair and there's some bidy damage at a cost of about $1000 to repair.

I need to sell this car and purchase something that gets better gas mileage. I'm wondering if I should have the 2 repairs completed before attempting to sell the car or just sell it as is.
