I just found out that my water pump needs to be replaced but the mechanic can't fix it until this weekend. Would it damage my engine/car if I continue to drive it as long as the coolant level isn't low? I have to get to work, which is about 5 miles from my house at 30 mph ( I would walk but it's a little chilly).

no harm. just wont have heat in the car. and make sure the guage doesnt get up near hot. if it does shut if off and let it cool down. keep a eye on the guages and you should be good to go. 5 minutes usually the vehicle wont even heat up.
