2001 Jeep Cherokee STARTING PROBLEM WHEN COLD

I HAVE A JEEP GC LIMITED, WHEN IT IS COLD IT WILL START BUT THE IDLE IS ABOUT 300 TO 400 RPMS, FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS THEN IT GOES TO NORMAL. SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT TO START THOU. IF I START IT WITH THE REMOTE START IT WILL START FINE. PLEASE HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM TANK YOU MUCH DAVE.

By not start do you mean not crank? Or turns over and wont start?

IT TURNS OVER FINE BUT WHEN IT DOES START COLD IT HAS A VERY LOW IDLE. THEN IT GOES BACK TO NORMAL. DAVE

Might want to try cleaning out the throttle bore with some carb spray and a rag around the butterfly. This should help stabilize the idle
