2001 Jeep Cherokee oil pressure very high

I just changed my oil and filter (fram). And my pressure guage is shooting up to 80 when accelerating and not droppong down after warm could this be because of the oil filter

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge,if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump pressure relief valve
