Heater problem
2001 Jeep Cherokee V8 Four Wheel Drive 105000 miles

There is antifreeze leaking into the passenger side of the vehicle and smoke coming out of the vents. I'm certain the heater core is blown. Is there any dager that can come from this not being fixed as its progresed. 1st the heat and air stopped working, then smoke started coming out of the vents and now antifreeze is leaking inside the vehicle. So I just wanted to know if there are any dagers or what the worse possible thing is that could happen as a result of this.

eventually breathing in the fumes day after day of the coolant may cause health problems or at the least cause sickness. as far as the vehicle is concerned, it will not be able to keep the coolant in the system and therefore the motor will overheat and fail. also the coolant that is leaking onto the floorboards will eventually cause mildew and rust to form.
