WHEN I TURN THE HEATER ON, THE AIR JUST COMES OUT WARM EVEN THOUGH I SET THE TEMPERATURE TO (HI). THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE SHOWS THAT THE CAR IS WARM AND NO OTHER SIGNALS OR DIALS OR THE COMPUTER IN THE CAR SHOW PROBLEMS. COULD IT BE THE THERMOSTAT OR SOMETHING ELSE.

Hi:
If the engine is running at a normal temp, the t-stat is most likely fine. Have you had the heater core flushed?

Thank you for your prompt answer. No, I did not have the heater core flushed, nor I knew that it could be done. I am handy but mechanics, i don't know much, that means I would have to take the car in to a mechanic. Unless is something easy to do my self, is it? if so, and if it is not too much trouble, can you explain to me how to do it?

Hi:
there are two coolant hoses will run to the firewall of the jeep. They connect to the heater core, one a supply and one a return line. You will need to remove them, and yes you will loose some coolant. Just keep the hoses higher than the engine and it will stop running out. Now using a garden hose, force water through the core in each direction. I believe you can get a flush additive at a parts store if you want.

After the water starts to flow through clean, replace one hose, allow the core to fill and start running coolant through the other side then put the last hose on. Start the vehicle and make sure to refill the coolant.
