2000 Jeep Cherokee won't go into overdrive

My jeep won't go into overdrive when first start out to drive. If I stop and turn off the engine and restart, it then will go into overdrive. Problem started when the jeep started hitting 220 degrees. Scanner code says I need an oxygen sensor. Could this be the cause of the transmission not going into overdrive? Car runs fine once going. No other slipping. Appreciate rapid response, been dealing with this for two weeks.

An oxygen sensor will not cause an overdrive issue
most likely and or common is speed sensor on the transmission
need to scan TCM

Is a speed sensor the same as a transmission range sensor. Has a code p0705 which is a transmission range sensor. Could this be my problem?Also, I need two oxygen sensors, this came up on the auto part website under transmission range sensor along with speed sensor, do I need to replace all of them at one time to find my problem?

Oxygen sensor is an emission related and should not have an effect on transmission and or overdrive

range switch should be fixed 1st as PCM uses it to identify the shifter position
