2000 Jeep Cherokee Voltmeter dropped

During driving this morning, it has been below freezing, the voltmeter was at 9, after it warmed up a bit it went up to normal, but then slowing down the meter dropped back to 9 and stayed there the 35 mile drive and the check Gauges light stayed on. I also lost the light behind my rear wiper switch? Any I haven't looked at fuses but this is only currently happening

I'd check the charging system. Have the codes checked. There are several issues that might cause a problem with the charging system.
