My batery died the other day (I left a light on). I tried to jump the vehicle, but it wouldn't start. The engine would turn over, but only run for as long as I held down the gas pedal. What would cause this?

If your battery was completely dead, you need to get it recharged. When the battery is disconnected or dead, the computer may require a relearn period of time to work correctly again.

Try recharging the battery fully and drive the vehicle (if it is safe to) for 8 or 10 miles. Let me know if this helps.
