I was informed that there had been a fan recall on my Jeep Grand Cherokee so I got the fan replaced in June of 2007. It hasn't even been a year later and today the fan wouldn't shut off after I turned the ignition off. This caused the battery to die. I called a dealership to find the possible cause and was told that its more than likely the fan relay switch which is not connected to the fan and the only way to tell is to bring the vehicle in. I'm kind of weary when it comes to taking my vehicle in to get "looked at" by a dealership as I am not really car savvy so I was hoping to get an idea on here of what might be going on. Also I'm wondering if this is something thats going to cost a lot or if its relatively simple to fix. Thank you for any help!
