2000 Jeep Cherokee door locks

2000 jeep grand cherokee laredo-- rear door will not unlock . slide switch will not move in either direction, electric switch will not activate .. Removed door pannel to gain as much access as possible. Actuating rod for slide switch frozen --will not move in either direction. If I could get door open ---if-if-if --maybe a new actuator would fix the problem . Your opinion please.

You need to disconnect the actuator so you can manually unlock the door.
