Brakes problem
1999 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

When I release the brake pedal I hear a vacuum leak for several seconds. Then it seems to fade away until the next time that I brake and release the pedal. What is the problem?

Hi there,

Your brake booster has failed, this will need to be replaced or repaired, if it totally fails you will have a very heavy and inefficient brake pedal, get this looked at ASAP.
