1999 Jeep Cherokee Noise of air escaping when pressed on br

I have recently noticed that when ever i pressed on brakes, there is air leaking in and around the brake pedal. Please tell me if its safe to drive the vehicle and why is this happening? Are my brakes need to be replaced? There is no warning lights and the brake works fine except the air leaking. Please help.

You need to get the brake booster inspected sounds like its leaking-for your safety better get it check immediately. No more driving
