1999 Jeep Cherokee Automatic 137000 miles

My Jeep Grand Cherokee has recently had very high oil pressure when started. It only happens about once a week, and normally goes away when the car is restarted. It is not due for an oil change for another 2,000 miles or 2 months. Any ideas?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge-if normal -replace the oil pressure sending unit-if not could be the oil pump pressure relief valve sticking-
