I had a check engine light come on, I checked the code using the on/off method and it spit out code 0505 saying that there was a problem with the idle air control circuit. I replaced the controller and cleaned the female plug with contact cleaner and allowed to dry. Both the plug and all wires appear to be good, not rubbed though, ect. Started up and went to high rpm as it said it would in the instructions. Drove for a few miles, 5 or so, and idle returned to normal. Drove approx. 45 miles and after turning the ignition off for 10 min, the check engine light came back on, and after cycling the ignition..same code p0505..engine idles fine though, and did before replacing the controler, only one time before replacing the controler did it bog out and act like it was getting too much gas.. any thoughts on this?? Thanks

Test the IAC motor wiring back to the computer if okay could be problems with the IAC driver circuit in the computer.
