Just had a new front drive shaft put on, but after 40 miles or so it started making a grinding sound and at one point actually shook the jeep (60MPH) had to pull over.

Shop said nothing was wrong... I say something is..

What caused the new drive shaft to grind and shake?

The only thing that could cause it to grind would be if it was too short and is coming off the splins on the output shaft. As far as vibrate, they are balanced and you may have lost the weight from it.

Let me know what you find.
