Heater problem
1999 Jeep Cherokee 88000 miles

Hi, I have the same problem as a previous post. My heat was on the fritz starting a few days ago- hot air one minute, cold the next back and forth. Now, the heat doesnt work at all and the check gauges light comes on, with the temp skyrocketing to the red zone. Coolant level is fine, no leaking. What is the problem? Can I drive it to and from work for 1-2 more days before I address this issue (work is 15-20mi from home each way)? Thanks so much!!!

Sounds as you low on coolant
wait until engine cool, best if after it sets over night
open and check coolant level in the radiator
add coolant until full
place cap and start engine
remove cap and add if needed
place cap and run it until have heat inside 10 or 15 min

driving it with out coolant will cause an engine failure
and I would recommend having it check ASAP
if not sure how to do it
