1999 Jeep Cherokee blown fuel pump fuse

1999 Jeep Cherokee Four Wheel Drive

My jeep just blew a fuse for the fuel pump. Does this mean that the fuel pump is on its way out? Is there a way to find out?

Welcome to the forum. Not sure of engine litre size? On some systems the voltage for the switch side of relay and pcm is a shared circuit. You can take connector loose from pump, use jumper wires for voltage and ground to the proper terminals at the pump, use an inline fuse. If the fuse still blows, I suspect the pump.
