My daughter broke a belt on her cherokee. She had a guy look at it and said she needs a new AC compressor and belt. I knew the AC was out. If the Compressor clutch is looked up, can I get a smaller belt, say for a jeep cherokee w/o AC to bypass the compressor?

yes, you can bypass the A/C if it is not wanted. just ask the part store for the A/C bypass belt. if there is no specific bypass belt made for your vehicle, you can just take a piece of string and measure the pulley you need to bypass, then give the part store the measurements.
