1999 Jeep Cherokee Battery Cables

One of the battery cables on the positive side of my battery has become loose, nearly disconnected.

Is there a way to change them myself or do I have to take it to a mechanic?

Hi there,

you can change the cable if you have the tools, but be aware that when you disconnect the battery you will loose all memory for clocks, radios and some times the ECU will need a relearn, so i would get your mechanic to do this as he will have the equipment to hold the memory in the car's systems.
