see my profile, Is this sound new, and does it do this constantly?

The only things I can come up with is (1) a vacuum line loose/ broken......(2) vacuum device broken (3) brake booster diaphram broken.

You can disconnect vac. line to booster and TEMPORARY plug it off......to eliminate it being the problem.

If you need to locate sound, can't seem to isolate it..........get a piece of 5/16 or 3/8 fuel line......3-4 feet long............stick it in your ear....use other end like a STETHOSCOPE.
