Transmission problem
1999 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i have a 99 jeep grand cherokee and i installed a used transmission and it will not change out of first gear unless i remove the battery cable to clear the check engine light and then it will drive and change out normally until i turn it off then it will go back to being stuck in first.the code p0720 comes up but i replaced the output speed sensor and it still do the same does not change out until unlessing i clear the check engine light what could this be

Double check the wiring to the speed sensor to make sure it isn't damaged. You may want to check it for continunity to make sure it is in good condition.
