I have a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. One morning I put it in drive and it goes to about 25 mph and the rpms go sky high. It seems like the engine keeps reving up and not going into gear. Would a transimission filter change fix this?

Chances are the filter won't fix it, but it may be worth a try. Before that, make sure the trans fluid is full. Low fluid will cause that. Next, has the check engine light come on?
