It could be any number of things. You didn't give us much to go on. When it quits, does it start right up again or what do you have to do to get it to go? Also, does it buck and spit, or just die? How old is your fuel filter? Has this problem be going on for some time and got gradually worse, or did it start all of a sudden. Please advise.

The fuel filter and pressure regulator are one unit located in the top of the fuel tank. It's going to be a "spendy" unit, so let's check a few other things first. Mainly, what ever triggered your check engine light should still be stored in ECM memory. You will need to have the computer scanned to retrieve this information. Autozone, and most major auto parts stores will scan the ECM for free. If you can get the stored codes to me, we can go from there.

OK, we need to find out which you are losing, spark or fuel. You'll need help to make the next test. Pull one plug wire and stick an ordinary phillips head screwdriver in the plug boot. Lay the screwdriver on the engine or manifold, anywhere with a ground, so the shaft isn't touching. Start the motor looking for an arc from the driver shaft to ground. What we are trying to determine is if the spark quits then the motor dies, or if the spark continues until the motor stops turning. Let me know what you find.
