My parents have a 98 Jeep Cherokee Sport Ltd 4x4 they are willing to "give" me as long as i pay the repair costs on a new catalytic converter, sensor, and transmission lines. I currently drive a 93 GEO Prizm that runs great. Should I sell the GEO for 5 bucks, pay $2k and walk away with a Jeep? Would you?

i would stick with your old one as the new one is pretty high mileage.

keep the old oen till it fails then buy another vehicle.

I forgot to mention that the GEO has 195000 miles on it, no speedometer, no fuel gauge (that work anyway), door locks are broken on both sides and the heater knobs are broken, no AC, no stereo. Buying the Jeep for $2K in repairs would significantly upgrade my driving experience. Would THIS information change your mind?
