1998 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

Recently purchased wrecked jeep cherokee,when I hook up the battery the security light keeps blinking and the jeep wont start.Is there a way to reset this?And is this feature keeping my fuel pump from working?

Try unlocking the rear door, that should disable the security system.My software doesnt tell exactly what is disabled by it.Try the rear lock and see if it will run
