Computer problem
1998 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have no spark, no fuel pump, my fuel gauge and amp gauge don't move when I turn the key on. Engine cranks fine, I have power to the fuel pump relay and the asd relay. I do have power to 3 posts on my relays. Also when I hook my scanner to the Diagnostic connector it says no communication. All fuses are good. I'm thinking a broken wire some where Can you help?

The computer controls all of that. It 'grounds' the fuel pump relay to activate it. It also sends a reference voltage to the Crankshaft Position sensor which provides information needed for the fuel injection and ignition systems. Check ALL fuses first. If the PCM isn't powering up, it won't communicate with a scanner and it won't control all of what it's supposed to. There are sometimes more than 1 fuse for the PCM so don't overlook any. Under the dash AND under the hood. Try that. If still nothing, get back with me and we'll keep going.
