1998 Jeep Cherokee belt pulley noise

I have a 1998 Grand Chreokee that makes noise when started. I have a new serpentine belt and replaced the idler pulley twice and it still makes noise. any ideas?

clicking? ticking? screach? grind?

try taking off the drivebelt, does noise still start?
