1998 Jeep Cherokee ABS light is on and I hear a hissing sou

The ABS light has been on and since then there has been a hissing sound coming from the area of the wheel well on the front drivers side, or under the gas/brake pedals. Any input on fixing this?

Check the brake booster. It is what the master cylender bolts too. Chances are either the vacuum hose going to it is leaking or the booster itself is bad.

Let me know what you find.
