So my surpiontene belt broke, while I was driving. After that happened all my power stearing, brakes and gas went. The car also smelt like it was burning. So I replaced the belt and noticed that the engion coolent was gone, so I replaced that. After I started the car it makes a loud screeching noise and the engion still smells like its burnning. My Question is how do I fix this just so that I can make a three hour drive home to my mechanic

Are you sure the belt is tight enough? Also, how hot did the engine get when this happened? THe serp belt runs the waterpump and may have caused other damage.

Let me know.
