1997 Jeep Cherokee 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

when i accelerate in my jeep 2.5 turbo diesel there is a whirling noise ???? any ideas

Hi there,

if you have just started hearing this noise, first check that the induction hoses are fitted correctly and tight, if ok, get your mechanic to road test and listen for the noise and give an opinion, turbo's will whistle , but a whirring noise may be a bearing starting to fail.
