1997 Jeep Cherokee steering or suspension problem

when driving at 80 miles per hour it shakes violently when i hit a bump or pothole, but when driving at less than 60 miles per hour its ok. only a little vibration felt in steering wheel. thanks for your help, had similar problem 2 years ago with the stabilizer bar, had to replace it. hope you can help me with the problem. thanks again.

IS this a grand Cherokee? I have seen issues with the steering dampner on them. Replace it with an OEM one.
