The fuel pump fuse has blown several times recently while driving. I checked the current draw at the fuse block and it's drawing just over 5 amps. The fuse is a 15 amp fuse.
Is there anything other than a defective fuel pump that could be causing this?

Haven't checked the filter, but pressure is good and there are no mil codes.

If it blows randomly, may be hard to track issue. You have to test when the problem occurs. The fuse I looked at also supplies voltage to pcm. Any applicable mil codes? Fuel filter ok? Fuel pressure ok?
