Turned car off after driving. It set for about an hour. Turned key on and now the battery is dead. Put in fresh battery and now the engine will turn over but will not start. There seems to be a more than usuall draw on the battery with everything off. The gauges do not come to life when you turn the key on and none of the interior fuses are hot when testing with a test light. All of the fuses under the hood test hot. Got an answer?

double check the positive battery cable. does it have 2 red wires going to battery? if it does i usually cut out the old terminal end and install a new one. the auto parts store sells for a dollar. try wiggling the wires and see if you can get the gausges to come on, then you will know for sure
