1997 Jeep Cherokee V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic

When i start the car, the car just makes a tickin sound and then does not start. I have checked the starter, the engine, and the battery, I cant seem to start it. Please h

try tapping on the starter lightly with a hammer, sometimes they stick, if it works i would replace the starter. hope it helps
