The oil sending unit screws into a manifolf above the oil filter.
there is a plugin to the sending unit that relays to the pressure guage.
the rear of this plugin is sealed by a push in rubber seal.
when the engine is started the oil pressure blows the rubber seal out and cuases a continuose leak.
Is it a defective sending unit or something else?

Unscrew the sender, screw in a test gauge, start the jeep, pressure should be about 10 psi at idle and warm. If pressure is high, above 80 psi, pump relief valve may be stuck, but in either case the sender needs to be changed.
