My 1996 Grandcherokee laredo was making whinning noise at a speed of 30miles per hr. I took it to a transmission shop, the transmission guy told me that it was the transmission, and he will rebuilt the transmission paid him to do the job Picked up the truck, it was the same noise. return the car to him. Please what is the problem with this truck. it is drive me crazy. The mechanic is now telling me probably it the drive shaft or maybe the differential. Will the differentials from a 1993 grand cherokee laredo fit in a 1996 grandcherokee?

Know CJs not your rig....see my profile.

Will your rig go (IN FRONT 2WD ONLY) if rear driveshaft removed?.......Keeping GEAR PRESSURE OFF OF REAR DIFF. at speed----to prove or maybe disprove YA'LLs THEORIES ?
