1996 Jeep Cherokee

I was driving along at 70mph when my engine lost its power rpms and speed began dropping I tapped the gas several times but nothing I pulled to side of road and stopped. Engine was idleing rough I turned it off and tried to restart. It took 4 tries then started and felt fine sounded fine I started to drive went 10 ft and it got rough again and never started again. It turns over but never starts.
