First, remove the plastic shroud from the steering column - this has three Torx (i.E. Star drive) screws beneath the column and consists of two pieces.
The turn signal assembly is bolted onto the column with two Torx tamper-proof screws that require a special tool. I recommend getting a small set of Torx tamper-proof bits that can be connected to an adapter handle or electric driver - this will be cheaper than buying a set of screwdrivers.
Remove the two mounting screws and then unscrew the electrical connector and pull it out of the slot.
Replace in reverse order.
