1995 Jeep Cherokee tune up

1995 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I own a 95 Jeep Cherokee and I did a tune up on it a while back. Somehow 2 wires got switched in the wrong place while it was idliing and it hasn't run the since. Is there a way I can tweak the engine to make it run like it used to and if so how do I go about doing this? Thanks.
