Heater problem
1995 Jeep Cherokee V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My Jeeps engine pings when it is at normal operating temp. and under any load (up a slight hill) I have had the timing chain replaced and still the problem persists. I have been told that the timing cannot be adjusted as it is factory set. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

An EGR valve that's not opening will cause it to spark knock to include engine overheating.
