where is the heater blower resistor located? Does the instrument panel have to be dropped to replace this resistor?

I believe it is near the fan motor. The dash doesn't need removed.

Under the dash on the passenger side of this vehicle, (94 Cherokee sport)against the front firewall there is a black plastic panel held in place by two scews. Remove this panel and the heater blower resistor is clearly visible and easy to access for replacement.

It's been awhile, but I remembered it being under the dash. Thanks liljeep44 for the refresher.
