how do you know if its the water pump,radiator, or themostat? Also what would cause the radiator not to pull from the resavoir if it needs more fluid?

Also what would cause the radiator not to pull from the resavoir if it needs more fluid? Defective radiator cap.

For the others-fill the radiator till its about 3/4 from the opening leave the cap off-start the vehicle do you see the coolant swirling around-now pinch the upper hose for a few secs-let go do you see increase of flow if not the pump is not doing its job
