engine knocks, added protech drygas, knocking stopped for a little while, knocking returned.

Does this sound more like a bearing knock or a ping while under a load? Does it happen all of the time or only under certain conditions?

no ping, motor rattles a little then knock, rattles a little then knock. happens more in idle than when driving, but happens in either case

The only thing I can say with a knock is that it is usually a bearing problem (rod, main, cam...). Make sure the oil is full and that you are using the proper weight.
